CREATE YOUR OWN MONOCHROME BATHROOM

From moodboard to reality.

This bathroom project originally started as 2 separate rooms. We removed a non-structural wall to open the space up and allow us to have enough space for a bath and separate walk-in shower.

I chose to use a monochrome classic colour palette, added the warmth of the wood effect floor and sink unit and a hint of burnt orange in the accessories to give a more Scandinavian feel.

The finished bathroom looks almost identical to the original moodboard I created a few months ago.

I can't believe I've had so many people ask me if this feature wall is wallpaper, which I was quite shocked at! It's a simple penny tile that comes in 30cm x 30cm sheets and finished with a black grout (yes my tiler hated me!)

Let's talk about the 'sink station'. I'm from up North and until recently after speaking to some friends from down south I didn't realise that the limescale in the water is that bad that they can't even have black tapware and most definitely can't have a black sink due to the limescale in the water causing too many stains! So, for that reason I thought I'd take advantage of being able to have the black pieces!

Fancy some black tap ware too?! Shop the look below!

- These WALL TAPS have such a high end feel and at this price you can't go wrong!

- I think the SINK is a pretty good price too and it's definitely a statement!

I was desperate for a free standing bath but there's nothing worse than squeezing a free standing into a cramped space and not being able to reach round the sides of it to clean! I managed to find this beauty BACK TO WALL BATH that definitely has the look of a free standing bath from the front but has the 'back to wall' finish at the back meaning no awkward nooks and crannies around the sides and back!

The CONCEALED SHOWER HEAD & MIXER TAP gives such a good sleek, clean finish. and the SLIM FRAMED BLACK SLIDING SHOWER ENCLOSURE gives me life everyday when I 'swoosh' that door open
